Welcome to the Do You Know Clear Lake series presented by RelaxUpNorth.info

This series of short essays is a project we have undertaken to help educate our readers of the sights, sounds, events, and activities that await you in the Clear Lake area of West Branch, MI.

The development of this series has become a labor of love for everything Clear Lake. There are so many opportunities for you to find your way to RelaxUpNorth that the real struggle has been where to start. Should we start with talking about the fact that Clear Lake is truly clear enough to see the bottom in almost all areas? Should we talk about the abundant opportunities to fish, the options of watersports from SUP to water skiing? Should we discuss the thousands of miles of trails that you can enjoy in your SXS or riding a dirt bike? What about groomed snowmobile trails, groomed cross-country skiing, biking, and hiking? Fly fishing in the infamous Mason Tract of the AuSable River, or the Rifle River? Canoeing, kayaking, tubing those same rivers not to mention the 20+ public access lakes in our region? The fact that there are over 215,000 acres (about the area of San Antonio, Texas) of state and federal forests that offer hunting for deer, pheasant, grouse, and turkey just to name a few? Do not forget that hunting wildlife is not the only type of hunting to do here, Morel Mushrooms can be found here too, along with wild berries and an unreal opportunity to photo document your trip. There are vistas that will provide you with the chance to catch landscapes, auroras, and astrophotography shots that are sure to create untellable memories.

We hope that you will join us by liking and following your page to keep aware as more information is provided about the opportunities that await you as you RelaxUpNorth. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
